First Bank of Delaware used to be an issuer of sub-prime credit cards for CompuCredit and Continental Finance. The cards they have include the Tribute Mastercard, the Imagine Gold Mastercard and the Continental Finance Mastercard. .
In 2008 the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) began an investigation against CompuCredit Corporation, Atlanta, Georgia, the First Bank of Delaware, and two other banks that had agreements with CompuCredit to market their sub-prime credit cards. According to the official FDIC press release, they were 'allegedly marketing subprime credit cards in violation of the Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act).' Two years later, as a result of the investigation, the First Bank of Delaware is no longer issuing credit cards. In fact, they no longer (as to our knowledge) issue any more credit cards.
